About Jim Kasim

A senior financial and operations leader with more than two decades of experience in the field, Mr. Jim Kasim holds licensure to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and possesses extensive first-hand knowledge of the commercial real estate investment industry. Mr. Kasim established solid foundations for his career at California State University, Northridge, where he studied accounting and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1992. After two years, he became a CPA in the State of California. Several years later, Jim Kasim returned to school to complete his Master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business in Los Angeles, where he participated in the Beta Gamma Sigma Society and graduated with honors.

Jim Kasim began his career in financial leadership at Ernst & Young LLP. There, he operated as Senior Manager in the Advisory and Assurance Business Services department. In this position, he accrued actionable field experience, providing services to some of the largest and most prominent public and private companies in the nation including advising on initial public offerings, equity private placements, and corporate governance. Mr. Kasim subsequently worked as Chief Financial Officer for various public and private companies, including but not limited to Pacific Office Properties Trust, Inc.

In order to remain abreast of the latest developments in his field, Jim Kasim participates in the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has also served on the Financial Report Quality Monitoring Committee of the California State Board of Accountancy and operated as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California Lusk Center for Real Estate.
